LETโS CELEBRATE
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 23, 5:30PM
Itโs been a long road, and worth celebrating what a motivated community and a handful of dedicated leaders can accomplish!
Weโll meet at the courts at 5:30 for a short and sweet ribbon cutting, then all head over to
The Elephant in the Room
and raise a glass to the Healdsburg Pickleball Community

OPEN PLAY EVERY DAY, SUMMER SESSIONS
8:30am - 10:30am and **4:00pm - 6:00pm
Use playtimescheduler to sign up, see whoโs playing, and keep tabs on any important messages regarding sessions. FYI, classes at the High School resume August 17, so thatโs when we resume monitor and sign-in requirements.
Please note, the most recent email had a typo, evening open play begins at 4pm
ROUND ROBIN, AUGUST 2, 5-7PM
Watch playtimescheduler for a special session on Wed August 2 at 5pm. Weโre setting up our first Round Robin for players rated 3.5 and higher. If thereโs sufficient interest, weโll add additional events for all!
BEGINNERS CLINIC COMING!
We know there are quite a few beginners in town interested in learning, so weโre working on a beginners clinic, and will update you with details as soon as we have it nailed down. Weโll update via email, Facebook and our website
NEW SIGNAGE, COURT NUMBERS
Youโll notice some spiffy new court signs (rules and court numbers) that will make things a little more clear out there. On busy days, there will beย a court dedicated to family and beginner play (the guidelines are clear on the new signs). Thanks to the committee for recognizing the need, creating the signs, and ushering the project through the town and school process. As they say, it takes a village!
๐ THANK YOU NEAL ARNESON ๐
Speaking of spiffy, huge thanks to Neal who designed, built and installed our paddle racks. They really help to keep us organized on those busy mornings! Neal, you rock!
DONโT BE SHY!
If you have a skill, an idea and/or some time, feel free to let us know you want to pitch in! Most everything that happens around these courts is driven by us, the players, soโฆdonโt be shy
HEALDSBURG PICKLERS PLAY AT GIANTS STADIUM
(I know, itโs Oracle Park)
On July 20 - 23, the SF Giants hosted the Pickle4 Ballpark series at Oracle Park. A few Healdsburg players participated in the tournament. Ask Natalee Tappin, Tom Frisher, Kalei and Dana Hampson, Cathy Thoni or Kim McKay all about it!
Weโll post pictures here soon!ย ย
AND BY THE WAY, WHO IS THE MYSTERIOUS COMMITTEE GUIDING THE HEALDSBURG PICKLEBALL CLUB?
Thanks to Chig (aka Graham) Freeman, Zoe Schwartz, Mathieu Isaacs, Claudia Sutton and Pierre Rattรฉ who organized the fundraising and drove negotiations with the school and the town to get these courts built.
Your current committee is Mathieu, Zoe, Pierre, Kim McKay and Jeanette Thorpe. Feel free to reach out to any of us face-to-face or via this email. Weโre here for Healdsburg Pickleball.
We really hope to see many of you on August 23!
